My background is in writing, education, and digital art. I write fiction and critical essays in experimental formats, using platforms and technologies that map to my themes or subjects. My recent research and work are guided by an interest in how data mining and technical literacy affect communication and public imagination. I’m interested in social data, networks, and generative modeling: My main narrative project right now explores how these ideas play out economically and psychologically in interactive spaces. As a writer I often find myself starting with theoretical language that I find practically relevant, and then turning it into something more fantastical. |
